What is EZ WAY?

EZ WAY is a mobile app used in Taiwan for real-name authentication and customs authorization when receiving imported shipments from overseas.

In simple terms, it is the system that allows the recipient to confirm: “This shipment belongs to me, and I authorize the customs process.”

For many overseas purchases shipped to Taiwan, customs procedures may require confirmation from the recipient. EZ WAY allows that confirmation to be completed through the app instead of relying only on paper-based handling.

Why is EZ WAY required?

For overseas shipments into Taiwan, customs may require recipient verification before the package can be released.

If EZ WAY registration or confirmation has not been completed, the shipment may be subject to:

• Customs hold
• Delivery delay
• Additional document requests
• Possible return of the parcel

How to Register for EZ WAY

There are two main registration methods.

1. Telecom Verification (Recommended)

This is the fastest and easiest option if your mobile number is registered under your own name.

1. Download the EZ WAY app for iOS or Android
2. Enter your nationality, mobile number, full name, and ID number
3. Confirm that the mobile number owner and registrant are the same person
4. Use a 4G/3G mobile network during registration (Wi-Fi cannot be used)
5. Your data is verified by the telecom provider and registration is completed immediately

2. SMS Verification

This method is generally used if you fall into one of the following categories:

• You use a prepaid SIM card
• You are on a special rate plan
• Your mobile number is not registered under your own name
• Telecom verification is not available or fails

1. Download the EZ WAY app
2. Enter your nationality, mobile number, full name, and ID number
3. Upload clear photos of the front and back of your ID
4. The system verifies the uploaded images
5. Receive the SMS verification code and enter it in the app
6. Wait for the review to be completed

Review typically takes about 3 business days.

Order to Delivery: How the Process Works

1. Place your order on our store

Please enter your recipient name, phone number, and address accurately.

If your order details do not match your EZ WAY registration information, customs processing may take longer.

2. We ship your order

Once your order is dispatched, the carrier and customs broker begin the import declaration process in Taiwan.

3. You receive a notification in EZ WAY

If your shipment requires confirmation, a notification will be sent to your EZ WAY app during the customs process.

4. Confirm and approve the shipment

If the shipment information matches your order, please confirm and approve it in EZ WAY as soon as possible.

If the contents do not match, or if you do not recognize the declaration, do not approve it without checking first.

5. Customs clearance and local delivery

Once the confirmation is completed, customs clearance proceeds and the package is delivered within Taiwan.

Important Notes from 2025 Onward

If the recipient or customs authorizer is not in Taiwan, access to EZ WAY may be blocked due to IP restrictions. In that case, customs clearance may not proceed, which can lead to delivery delays or return of the shipment.

To help avoid clearance issues, please keep the following in mind:

• Please register a person residing in Taiwan as the recipient and, where needed, the customs authorizer
• The customs authorizer should be able to access EZ WAY from within Taiwan and must have completed real-name mobile registration and authentication
• If you are temporarily outside Taiwan for travel or business, customs procedures may not be completed
• If it is difficult to arrange a suitable customs authorizer, shipment may need to be postponed or recipient information may need to be reviewed
